FILM: Out Film Festival 2011

In 2011, Kenya hosted the first-ever exclusive Queer Film Festival dubbed ‘Out Film Festival’ for the region (apart from South Africa).
This shot is a scene from the film titled “Fluorescent Sin.” It was an international collaborative short film that chronicles a drag queen having a nervous breakdown at a Nairobi transport station.
The festival is now observed annually. The festival not only purposes to celebrate queer cinema but also to make known, a community the general society deems secret and insignificant exists.
